Mentorship and Training

Being part of the ALN network and globally connected to a number of international law firms, you will also be part of our constructive learning and development program including access to best practices, innovation, latest insights, secondments and training in diverse practice areas.
Pupillage
From barristers and attorneys who complete their pupillage period with us will be guided and assessed by their pupil supervisor, but also gain hands-on experience with our lawyers in our various practice areas so that they benefit from the complete BLC Robert & Associates experience. We strive to ensure that our pupils are provided with all the merits of a ‘traditional’ pupillage coupled with an insight into the workings of a law firm’s practice, that in turn represent an excellent grounding for any aspiring lawyer for admission at barrister or attorney at laws in Mauritius.
Our objective is to retain the best candidates after the pupillage period. We believe the future of the firm depends on the quality of the trainees we embark on this journey and pave the way to a career path for them. As of today, we have a number of our younger talents who have started their careers with us and are partners at BLC Robert.
Traineeships
We offer traineeship opportunities to law students who are pursuing a career in law. During the internship, you will assist us in ongoing cases of diverse practice areas, draft legal documents and attend court proceedings with our lawyers. Throughout this journey, your research, analysis and commercial awareness skills among others, will be tested. This is an excellent opportunity for you to experience life at BLC Robert & Associates and find out what it takes to be a lawyer at our firm.
