Yojna Beesoon is an Associate at BLC Robert & Associates sitting within the M&A and Business Law practice group.

Following completion of a 3-month training at Dentons Mauritius LLP, she joined BLC as a pupil barrister for a period of 9 months, rotating within various practice areas before eventually joining the firm as an Associate.

Yojna advises primarily on an array of M&A and private equity transactions, focusing both on domestic and cross-border private acquisitions and divestitures. She is regularly involved in heavy due diligence exercises and in putting together transaction documents.

Her expertise in corporate and business law matters allows her to provide sound advice to several institutional investors and investment firms wishing to acquire stake in Mauritian companies. Yojna also lends support on real estate transactions and on tax matters on the back of corporate restructuring exercises.

Yojna’s recent highlights include advising a Tunisian-based investment management firm on corporate and tax structuring issues arising out of its joint investment in a Mauritian company alongside a French investor, and also advising an acquirer on the acquisition of a group engaged in the provision of high-end education in the Indian Ocean.
