Kawthur Soreefan is a Senior Associate at BLC Robert & Associates and a key member of the Corporate & Commercial / M&A practice. She is recognised for her strong transactional capabilities and strategic advisory work on complex cross-border M&A, equity investments, corporate restructurings, and general business law matters.

Kawthur regularly advises both domestic and international clients, including listed and private corporates, financial sponsors, and private equity funds across diverse sectors such as financial services, education, hospitality, telecommunications, and energy.

She recently assisted The Access Bank UK Limited on its acquisition of a majority stake in AfrAsia Bank Limited, a significant transaction in the banking sector involving multi-layered regulatory approvals and comprehensive legal due diligence.

She also assisted Inspired Finco Holdings Limited, part of Inspired Education Group, in its strategic acquisition of Northfields International School in Mauritius – marking Inspired’s entry into the Mauritian education market. The transaction involved full-scope legal due diligence, structuring advice, negotiation and drafting of transaction documents and assistance with closing.

She also routinely advises on trust law, employee share incentive schemes, and estate planning.
