Ashwina Pittea is a Senior Associate in the Dispute Resolution department. Her experience is rooted in civil litigation, with a particular focus on commercial matters. She works across a diverse range of sectors, from corporate law and tax disputes to debt recovery, contractual disputes, employment, data protection, and intellectual property. While Ashwina’s work is mostly contentious, she also handles these areas at a non-contentious level.

Ashwina has had the opportunity of working on cases which have made a significant impact—some of which have been heard by the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council and regional courts such as the COMESA Court of Justice. Additionally, Ashwina represents clients before the Supreme Court, the Industrial Court, the Assessment Review Committee and the District and Intermediate Courts.

Ashwina also regularly delivers client trainings across multiple areas of law, with a particular focus on employment law.

Ashwina was called to the bar in Mauritius in January 2013 after being ranked first at the vocational examination for barristers held by the Council of Legal Education.
