Ammar Oozeer SC is a Partner in the Dispute Resolution practice and Head of the Regulatory and Compliance practice at BLC Robert & Associates. He was appointed a silk in 2025.

Before moving to private practice, Ammar served as a senior law officer at the Attorney-General’s Office where he represented the Government of Mauritius and the Director of Public Prosecutions before the Supreme Court and lower courts.

He specializes in commercial litigation and tax litigation. His dispute resolution practice also focusses on competition law disputes, intellectual property litigation, public procurement challenges and judicial review applications.

He has extensive experience advising on matters related to competition, data protection, telecommunications, internet and media, technology, privacy and cybersecurity, intellectual property (trademark and copyright) and anti-money laundering.
