Ammar Oozeer is a Partner in the Dispute Resolution practice and Head of the Regulatory and Compliance practice at BLC Robert & Associates. He brings extensive experience advising on matters related to competition, data protection, telecommunications, internet and media, technology, privacy and cybersecurity, intellectual property (trademark and copyright), anti-money laundering, and advertising.

His dispute resolution practice covers commercial litigation, competition law disputes, intellectual property litigation, public procurement challenges, and tax-related litigation. Ammar also has significant legislative drafting expertise, developed over a decade at the Attorney-General’s Office of Mauritius.

Before transitioning to private practice, Ammar served as a senior legal advisor within the Attorney-General’s Office, where he advised the Government of Mauritius on a wide range of legal matters, including technology, intellectual property, civil aviation, and port regulation. He also represented the tax authority before the former Tax Appeal Tribunal and acted on behalf of the Director of Public Prosecutions in high-profile criminal cases.
