André Robert is a Senior Attorney and Partner at BLC Robert & Associates, where he co-heads, with Senior Counsel Iqbal Rajahbalee, the Dispute Resolution team of the firm.

He is known to provide expert advice to commercial firms, banks, insurance companies, sugar estates, petroleum companies, hotels and textiles companies, as well as para-statal bodies. In addition to assisting in litigation challenges including offshore litigation, he works with chambers dedicated to the field of local and international arbitrations as well as trademark litigation.

André is the fifth generation of a family of lawyers, heading Etude Robert in close collaboration with a team of Attorneys and legal assistants. Etude Robert was founded by Mr Frédéric Robert, Attorney, in 1857. Etude Robert merged with BLC in 2016 to form BLC Robert.

André holds a Bachelor of General Studies degree (Diplome d’ Etudes Universitaires Générales), an LLB and an LLM with Specialisation Judicial Career where he ranked 1st, all from Aix-en-Provence University (France). During his professional journey, André was a lecturer in Civil Law at the Council of Legal Education and was part of the panel for Attorneys’, Barristers’ and Notaries’ examinations. He was a former Vice Chairman of the Mauritius Law Society.
